My Purpose
As you may have been able to figure out, one of my favorite hobbies is running. I haven't always loved to run, but now I can't imagine my life without it. It has brought me so many things. I've been able to turn my life around and say it's the one and only thing I do solely for myself. It's my me time and I try to keep it a fun part of my day, even if it means a 5 A.M. wake-up call to sneak in the miles before heading to class. It's given me a outlet for my frustrations. I tend to get very restless if I don't get a run in. I can balance my time between school work, running and sleep. Right now that's pretty much my life. It's taught my to appreciate the little things in life like a high-five from a stranger or a funny sign.
My First Marathon
Yes I am that crazy to train for a 26.2 mile race while in college. I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life even if people tried to tell me it was a bad idea. You only have one first marathon and I will never forgot the day I became a marathoner and got to slap a 26.2 sticker on the back of my car. I'm working on forming all my thoughts in a post, I will update here when I have it written. But for now here's a picture were I look like a burrito.
Super squinty, but who cares? I just ran my first marathon!
